Issi Dye Talks About Covid Shutdown of the Performing Arts Industry

Issi Dye, as a singer, TV star and stage performer has been performing in shows all around Australia and the US for decades. His tribute shows at the Potato Shed are always full and he knows how to communicate with a crowd through song and story telling.

He is one of the featured performing artists in my upcoming photography exhibition We are Back!

The exhibition opens on Friday 4th December at 7:00pm at the Potato Shed, 29-41 Peninsula Drive, Drysdale Vic 3222.

He recounts how the Covid 19 shutdown of the performing arts has affected his year.

"During my 50 years in showbiz, this is by far the most challenging year. With Covid 19 affecting the entertainment industry so severely as a whole.

Never have we had “No Shows” for more than 6 months and counting!"

Hear his comments in this video.

Issi is one of 23 performing artists who have performed at the Potato Shed over the last 18 months who are featured in my photography exhibition We are Back!. Each artist has been asked to provide an artist statement and video to reveal their experiences and challenges during this year and the future that they see for themselves.
