Potato Shed Retrospective (2019 - 2020)
I was recently asked to create a video containing a cross-section of live performances from photographs that I have taken at the Potato Shed, Drysdale over the last 18 months.
The Potato Shed is a regional performance art centre and a valuable asset to the City of Greater Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula. Located between Bellarine Secondary College and St Ignatius College, the theatre, music and dance studios are used extensively by the students.

At night, the theatre is host to many theatrical productions and musical performances. The diversity of performances is outstanding with productions from the Melbourne Theatre Company, Hit Productions and Regional Arts Victoria. Local theatre companies Theatre 3Triple2 and Bellarine Jongleurs also use this venue.
Drama, comedy, pantomime, cabaret, dance and musical performances in folk, Indie, Rock, classical genres all feature in the events photographed for this video.
During the Covid19 shutdown of the entertainment industry, the Potato Shed remained open until recently to provide a live streaming service (the Bird Bath Series) to allow local musicians an opportunity to perform to a virtual audience.
I trust that you enjoy this video and would encourage you all to support the Potato Shed when it reopens its doors later this year.
We only fully appreciate the positive impact of the performing arts to the community when precious gems like the Potato Shed are closed.
