Biography

Ivan Kemp is a skilled freelance photographer based on the Bellarine Peninsula, renowned for his outstanding portrait photography.

 

His expertise is underscored by accolades such as winning the portrait photography category at the Queenscliff Art Prize 2025 and being a finalist for Sports Photo of the Year at the 2025 Victorian Country Press Association awards.

 

Serving as the lead photographer for the Geelong Independent the Ocean Grove Voice, Ivan captures a diverse range of news, events, sports and live performances.

 

With a dedication to portrait photography, he undertakes freelance assignments in theatrical productions, music events, promotions, and family and business portraits, documenting moments that convey impactful narratives.

With a mantra of "Photograph what you feel, not what you see", Ivan works closely with clients to achieve great images.

Ivan majored in Photojournalism at Photography Studies College in 2017.
